The Berlin Fire Company much like the community we serve, is a work in progress. We strive to serve the best that we can. The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Inc. is a public foundation serving the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, specifically Somerset County, Wicomico County, and Worcester County. Established in 1984, the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Inc. is a local philanthropic expert committed to connecting donors with community needs. Gifts to the Community Foundation create permanent endowment funds that steadily grow in value over time and produce income for grants to local charitable nonprofit organizations. The Grace Center for Maternal and Women’s Health is a 501-(C)(3) organization located in Berlin, MD. The Grace Center has developed and expanded as we have come to understand the needs of our clients, but the mission has remained the same: To be a safe haven dedicated to improving the maternal health and well-being of women in the community.
All of the services at the Grace Center are 100% free of charge. The Grace Center receives funding through individual community donors, gifts in kind, grants and fundraisers. We count on donations and grants to fund our services and support our overhead cost. There is no other organization of this kind that services the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware.
Our services and programs include;
Maternal Health: Offering limited ultrasounds, lab-grade pregnancy tests, options counseling, poor prenatal diagnosis support, loss counseling, postpartum home visits, overall support in pregnancy related issues.
New Baby Programs: Prenatal and postnatal education, parenting classes for new parents, parenting classes for clients referred by child protective services, supplies for the baby such as clothing, diapers and food.
Support groups: Teen moms, Women in their maternal years, new fathers, addictions and trauma related issues.
Rise Program helping parents improve their ability to provide for their family: Assisting with obtaining GED, trade skills and certification in conjunction with Workforce Development.
Community Resource Program: Assisting with access to resources such as emergency housing, rent assistance, utility assistance and other agencies.

Seaside Dance Academy opened its doors in September of 2001 and has provided dance education to Worcester County for the past 17 years.
Seaside Dance Academy is located in the heart of the historical town of Berlin Md surrounded with quaint restaurants and shops. Seaside is only about ten miles from the beaches of Ocean City and Assateague Island. The Academy holds four spacious dance rooms, with 10.000 square feet of space for dancing & creating, plus an over sized lobby with that is Wi-Fi ready! Desk staff during operation hours, professional dance staff , four bathrooms, dressing room, hardwood and marly dance floors All rooms are fully lined in mirrors, dim lighting, disco lights, ballet barres and stereo systems.
We pride ourselves in providing some of the best dance education in the area. Seaside provides a positive growing environment where dancers can train and succeed to their highest expectations.

The Tri-county Council of the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland was form by an Act of the Maryland General Assembly in 2001. The purpose of the Council is to facilitate regional planning and workforce development in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.

Our mission is simple: To promote healthy and sustainable activities and to support the creation and improvement of recreational opportunities for the benefit of Berlin and its residents.
What is 4-H?
4-H is delivered by Cooperative Extension, a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Youth complete hands-on projects and recordkeeping in areas like health, science, agriculture, and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Youth can experience 4‑H in every county and parish in the country—through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs and 4‑H camps. 4‑H programs are available for children ages 8-18. 4‑H Cloverbud programs are available for children ages 5-7.
Worcester County Public Schools has a long and proud tradition of excellence. An integral part of the WCPS strategic direction is improving partnerships with our school system community.
The Worcester County Commission on Aging, Inc. (WorCOA) is a nonprofit agency established in 1978 to serve the Senior Citizens of Worcester County on behalf of the Worcester County government. This is accomplished through four multi-service Senior Centers, an Adult Medical Day Care, Meals On Wheels and multiple Direct Services for the homebound. Our dedicated staff ensures the professional delivery of quality, meaningful services.
Monday through Thursday fresh nutritious meals are served in our centers during a time of meaningful social interaction. Fresh daily meals are available Monday through Thursday via our Meals on Wheels program to ensure the homebound are getting the nutrition so critical to their optimal health.
Participants in our Adult Medical Day Services receive excellent professional medical and social care during their time at our center. Their physical and emotional well-being remains our top priority, and a dedicated staff makes sure they are lovingly cared for.
Each center provides activities and interaction relevant to the individual needs of the participants. Outings, exercises, games, education, shopping trips and special events provide a platform for enjoying experiences with friends and acquaintances.
Our Direct Services programs facilitate the opportunity for the frail, health-impaired and elderly to continue living at home. Our commitment to help participants live independently is evidenced though services of assistance such as providing in-home chores and personal care, caregiver support and financial counseling.
WCDC provides services to adults with developmental disabilities. Available services include pre-vocational training, job placement, supported employment, transportation, residential options, individual support services, health services, socialization, etc.
