Youth Mental Health First Aid is the initial help given to a young person showing symptoms of mental illness or in a mental health crisis such as severe depression, psychosis, suicidal thoughts and  behaviors, or panic attack, until appropriate professional help, or peer and family support, can be engaged. The 8-hour course prepares members of the public to provide Mental Health First Aid to a youth or adolescent in need. This intervention can reduce the damaging effects of emotional disorders such as school dropouts, relationship issues, and drug & alcohol problems.

IF YOU HAVE YOUNG PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD, IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, OR IF YOU WORK WITH YOUTH, THIS COURSE WILL OPEN YOUR EYES AND MAYBE EVEN HELP YOU SAVE A LIFE.

Thanks to our friends at the Worcester County Health Department for sponsoring this workshop.

To reserve your place, call Lynda Koehler (410-632-5039).
